My favorite month.

Today’s question is what is my favorite month of the year? I would say my favorite month of the year is March or April. This is because Spring is my favorite season of the year. The Summer is too hot here, and I’m not a big fan of Winter either. As I’ve mentioned before, I don’t like extremes. Autumn might be a strong contender, because I do love the Fall colors, but the mosquitos of Summer don’t really die out until the first freeze of Winter. Fall is also an odd time of year for me. Usually, around November, my least favorite month, my body starts to not feel quite right. I think the change to Winter causes some sort of health problem for me. Spring is about perfect for me. I am a life sort of person, and the world is renewing and being reborn in the Spring. I love to see all the Spring flowers too! The outdoors can also be enjoyed because the mosquitoes haven’t arrived yet. I might also mention that I love the sound of thunder and the smell of rain, which most often occurs during the Spring. It’s just the best time of year for me. I can’t wait for Spring!

Living anywhere in the world.

If I could live anywhere in the world, I would probably select a place where the climate was fairly mild. As noted in a previous post, I don’t really like extremes. If it were up to me, it would stay around 74 F year-round. That being said, it does get uncomfortably hot where I live during the summer. I guess it doesn’t really matter that much when you have heating and air conditioning, unless you have to work outdoors. It does limit what you can do recreationally though. I would also want there to be nearby stores and restaurants, and having zero mosquitos would be wonderful. They are pretty bad here in the evening, and I really hate them. I think that’s the only thing I like about cold weather. There are no biting insects around.

What I have been putting off doing.

There’s a variety of things that come to mind that I might be putting off, but there’s usually a pretty good reason. It might be because it’s too expensive, or maybe I just can’t find the time, or perhaps certain people are interfering in some way. I think your brain calculates these things somehow to determine if they are worth doing. My brain just hasn’t said go for it yet. Mood and mental state probably cast a long shadow on your motivation also. You really have to be in a good state of mind. I guess I would have to will it into being, overpowering my brain and mood, but I don’t know how satisfying that would be in the end. I know I’m getting older every day, and one day I won’t be able to do those things, so maybe I should get moving on them. Here are few that come to mind.

  1. Publishing a book.
  2. Taking a vacation.
  3. Traveling abroad.
  4. Visiting local museums.
  5. Seeing the local orchestra.
  6. Going to the gym more.
  7. Home decorating.
  8. Planning my free time.
  9. Seeing local events.
  10. Spend more time outdoors.
  11. Shop for winter clothes.
  12. Get out of bed before noon.

I don’t like extremes.

I don’t like cold weather, but I also don’t like hot weather. If it were up to me the temperature would remain somewhere in the 70s year round. I would also prefer the humidity to be fairly stable and not too dry.

Mild coldness isn’t too bad, and I tend to like winter clothes better than Summer clothes. They just seem more dressier to me. It’s really the extreme that I don’t like, but the main thing I don’t like about cold weather, and Winter in general, is that the cold temperature removes most of the water from the air. It really messes with my skin, lips and nose. My skin gets very dry and itchy, and sometimes, when I’m in the wind too much, it gets really chapped. Doesn’t feel great on your lips either. I’m kind of thankful that the Winters here are not too intense, but I could handle a few cold days, just not too many. Everyone needs an occasional snow day.

Summer has it’s problems also, especially where I live. It’s just way too hot for too long of a period of time. You really can’t enjoy Summer if you can’t go outside without having a heat stroke. I mean, you literally melt during the most intense part of the day.

Probably my favorite time of year is Spring. There are allergy problems going around, but I’m not too allergenic during this season. I like Spring because it is cool, but not hot, and the mosquitos and other pests are not out yet. Fall isn’t bad either, but it feels sort of moldy to me.

Like if you agree. What’s it like where you live?
